i am a two star although i did get a game where there was two three stars and a four star. they weren't very good so i beat all of them and got around 15 points for it. by the way, does anyone know how many points you get for beating a one star, two star, etc.? i don't think ill be getting a three star anytime soon. probably by next month though. how many points do you have to get, 340 right?

To answer vertigo's two questions: The amount of points all depends on your rank relative to your opponents. The following will be my little estimate as to how it all works: You beat a person with one star less than you: 1 point goes to you, they lose one point. You beat a person the same rank as you: You get two points, they lose 2 points. You beat a person two stars above you: you get 4 points, they lose four points. You beat three stars above you: you get 5 points, they lose five points. That's just what I think-I could very well be wrong about the specifics, but it is all relative to what you have, and that much I am sure of. And your second question: you need 140 points to get three stars.
Dsgamer's question: 1 star players usually use cheap methods to win...Personally, I'm fine with this, as a lot of the methods have efficient counters-you just have to learn how to use them :-D also, if you play three one stars, it might be that you're not used to four player matches, OR they steal kills a lot...more than two player matches are highly unpredictable...

I haven't played in a few days, so I'm still in the mid-eighties.

I'm really not in a big hurry. I'm still going to be just as good when I hit 3 stars as when I am still 2.

I care more about increasing my skill than I do about another star next to my name right now.

I think I've improved a ton with samus, but it all happened realllllly gradually. I think that with trace, most people get pretty good with him within a week, and then it takes a whiel to get extremely good with him. With samus, it's just a really gradual slope to..goodness :-)

After finding some uub3r secret sciping spots only for Sylux, I've noticed that I have been playing with him alot lately too. It really depends on the map, the game format and who I am playing with.
